NEWS: Gosford City Council wins Green Globe Award

The Terrigal Stormwater Recycling project receives the Green Globe Award for excellence in sustainability & innovation. Waterform congratulates the team at Gosford City Council for the pending award. Waterform designed, built and commissioned the Advanced Water Treatment Plant that treats urban stormwater runoff to a quality suitable for potable water supplementation at the Crowne Plaza Resort.

NEWS: Excellence in Infrastructure Winner Announced

Congratulations! (VIC) Banyule Community Stormwater Harvesting Project by City of Banyule, Commonwealth and State Governments, Melbourne Water and Fisher and Fisher, won the 2014 Stormwater Australia Excellence for Infrastructure Award.

Waterform is proud to have supplied key UV Disinfection treatment equipment to the City of Banyule projects. With 3 sites in total (Kalparrin, Chelsworth and De Winton), the projects provide an excellent community leisure hub.

NEWS: City of Canada Bay wins another award

City of Canada Bay has been announced as the 2015 Stormwater NSW Excellence Award winner, says Mayor Angelo Tsirekas.

?Our Water for our Community Project, which officially opened last week, has been awarded the winner of the 2015 Stormwater NSW Excellence Award in the category of excellence in infrastructure,? he said.

?We are very pleased to be recognised for this fantastic project which will save 180 million litres of drinking water each year. The award also shows we are leaders in our field through innovation, sustainable designs and outcomes.

?Our stormwater harvesting project is able to irrigate 15 playing fields and two golf courses, covering an area of 520,000 metres square, making it the biggest stormwater treatment plant of its kind in metropolitan Sydney.?

The project was assessed against the following criteria:

The project will deliver significant benefits (including stormwater management outcomes that exceed minimum legislative requirements)
The project demonstrates excellence in design
The project demonstrates excellence in construction technique
The project demonstrates excellence in consideration of economic, environmental and social factors
The project involved meaningful collaboration with stakeholders.
As winners of the state award, the City of Canada Bay will now be considered for the National Stormwater Awards for Excellence for 2015-2016. The winners of the national awards will be announced at next year?s awards presentation, which will be held in Brisbane, in October 2016.
